Function operation:
The COS function carries out the operation of the cosine trigonometric function. The alpha input is given a value expressed in radians. If this value exceeds the value range of an integer variable (-2147483648 ... 2147483647), the function returns 0, without signaling the limit exceeding. The limit violation can be detected using function no. 96 (see LIMITS (96)).
