Connecting function blocks
This topic is also covered in the Simultus training course (link).
Simultus training course - Part 3 - Connecting the function blocks outputs and inputs (duration: 6:55 min.)
The following figure shows how to connect the outputs and inputs of blocks:
Rules for connecting blocks:
- we connect the same type of I / O: (I-> I, R-> R, B-> B)
- we can connect the output I to the input R: (I-> R)
- you cannot use a loop (e.g. you must not connect a block's output to its input).
- one output can be connected to any number of inputs
Hiding the connection or its description
If the diagram is large it may become unreadable. In this case, we can hide the connection lines between blocks using the mouse right-click menu.
This way we can also show or hide the name of the connection. The hidden connection becomes visible when you hover the mouse over the input or output of a function block.

Connection description
By double-clicking on the name of the connection or on its end, you can edit it.
